I began as a sportswriter, attending the University of Missouri and majoring in News-Editorial. After working internships at the Southwest and Village News in Houston and the Virginian Pilot in Norfolk, I worked eight months at the Associated Press before deciding to focus on teaching the craft.

PUBLIC RELATIONS LIAISON - WILLIAM CHRISMAN - 2010 – Present - Served as the Public Relations Liaison to the District for William Chrisman High School. - Worked with students to cover events for the District Web Site and with the school and athletics/activities director on projects to promote the school and programs. - Wrote press releases for school as well. - Helped bring back the school’s Hall of Fame, ran the voting and nomination system, and helped design the area that the Hall of Fame is in today. - Handle all media and work with logistics to promote Chrisman athletics and activities.
